Where do you start when painting a scene?

.

.

.

Do you want to start doing watercolors of real landscapes not just flowers,

rocks or driftwood?

.

.

.

    Do you feel stuck because

it 's turning out to be too complex

too precise or too tight?

THIS IS  NOT  YOUR TRADITIONAL WORKSHOP

My workshop does not involve painting only one scene throughout the duration of the course.

You will go through sequential steps where previous lessons are seamlessly incorporated with the new.

STUDENT WORK #1

This is a before and after painting from one of my students, Sue, who did an incredible job inside of approximately 2 hours worth of demonstration and guidance:

BEFORE

AFTER

"I LOOOVED the first exercise...The last thing you need when you're on a workshop is 90 minutes of blah, blah, blah. It was great diving right in and then seeing the progress once I was taught how to actually paint the scene. I know my work isn't perfect but I am sooo proud of what I did and I certainly gained the confidence to try a few landscapes on my own! Thanks!~ Sue

STUDENT WORK 2

Alana, a self-taught artist, finally took the next step in her watercolor journey to go out of her comfort zone and add new techniques to her skill set:

Hi Broderick! I just wanted to connect on Instagram and tell you how much I valued your workshop this weekend!! I’ve already made another piece inspired by your techniques and workshop this weekend. Thank you so much. What an amazing journey of exploration art is. Thank you for sharing your passion with the world! ~ Alana
